Tennis has always been about more than just the game for me. Growing up in East Palo Alto as a multi-sport athlete in football, wrestling, and basketball, I learned firsthand how sports can build the character needed to overcome life's hurdles.

My journey in tennis began as a student at East Palo Alto Tennis & Tutoring (EPATT), and after facing my own challenges as a youth, I returned as an alumnus in 2013 to coach there for over eight years. This experience, combined with three years of coaching at the elite Nike Tennis (with Paul Goldstein, Brandon coupe and Frankie Brennan) has shaped my approach to instruction. 

Given my multi-sport background, my students and fellow coaches often tell me my strength is in understanding movement quality, agility, quickness and power, but making this accessible to students of all levels.  Separately, I don't just teach technical skills; I focus on the "transcendental" side of coaching—building a personal connection with my students.

Whether we are working on the court or engaging in community service, my goal is to help every player develop the resilience and discipline to succeed both in tennis and in life.

I’m proud to be an EPATT alumnus with over 15 years of tennis coaching experience. My love for the game extends far beyond playing it, I’m deeply passionate about teaching its technical intricacies while helping players develop rock-solid fundamentals, unshakable confidence, and a genuine lifelong appreciation for tennis.

I attended Sacred Heart Preparatory, where I was named Athlete of the Year. In addition to tennis, I competed in football and track and field. Those experiences sharpened my speed, agility, footwork, coordination, and mental toughness, qualities that now form the core of both my own game and my coaching philosophy.

To me, coaching is about more than teaching strokes. It’s about creating a positive, supportive environment where players build confidence, overcome challenges, and discover the joy of the sport that has given me so much. I look forward to helping you reach your tennis goals.
